Frequently Asked Questions

Do students have to wear a uniform?
Yes they do! Our DVDance Uniform is one of the many ways we show off our connection with our dance community. Our uniform encourages inclusiveness as it gives students a sense of pride and belonging. Having a uniform also assists our teachers when correcting alignment and provides a safe dance environment for everyone.

We offer a range of styles and sizes of our merchandise and uniforms to ensure that every individual is catered for. We are mindful of positive body image and as such all uniform items are modest without any high cut shorts or crop tops.

We sell all our DVDance Uniform items at our studios in Bundoora, to make it nice and easy for families, and we offer cash and EFTPOS facilities for your convenience
Where are you located?

How do I pay?
We make things super easy for you here at DVDance! Once you sign up to our direct debit provider, everything is taken care for you with our all inclusive monthly payments. All tuition, concert rehearsals, registration fees, insurances, costumes and a video link of our show, are provided to you as part of your monthly fee. There are no ongoing invoices and follow ups sent to you and this makes your family budgeting much easier. You can use your bank account or a credit card (transaction fees apply for both) and change your details anytime you need. Payments are made on the 1st of the month, but we can easily alter this to suit your pay cycle if you need.
What qualifications do you all have?
You will find it hard to find a more qualified team in the area than us - we pride ourselves on team members furthering their dance and teaching education and encourage regular attendance at workshops and teachers days. All DVDance Team members also have their WWC and a current First Aid certificate. You can check out our team here for further information about our wonderful team.
Can I trust you with my child?
We understand first hand the trust that must be placed in us for you to feel comfortable and connected to leave your child at our premises for dance classes. Aside from our extremely detailed and up to date Child Safety Policy, we make it our number one responsibility to ensure children feel safe, connected and happy to be at our studios.

We always have a team member on our front desk supervising children in between, before and after classes, ensuring that children are dropped off and picked up safely. Our viewing windows are always open and you are welcome at any time to watch your child dance. We also have a strict policy around costumes (including appropriateness and trying on in classes), together with event attendance including checking in and out as per our Child Safe Policy.  If you would like to discuss any aspect of our Child Safety or our Studio Safe Policy, please chat to one of our team at any time.
Is the concert compulsory?
No it is not, but geez it would be a shame to miss it! If your child loves dressing up, dancing around the house and putting on shows for you in the loungeroom (even better if they charge you to attend!) then they have found their happy place!

But for some kids, the thought of putting themselves out of their comfort zones is really disconcerting and we get it. That is why we ensure that students are very well prepared and understand the whole concept of the show, from our Concert Theme reveal in May, to our photo days and full studio rehearsals in the studio and also at the theatre, by the time your child steps on stage, they will feel confident and excited, not scared and anxious about their performance.
